Sales growth leads to second office

After a successful financial year, electric tug specialist MasterMover is opening its second UK office. Located next to its headquarters in Ashbourne, the new office will be used as a training facility and house MasterMover’s sales, service and marketing teams. The new facility will allow the company to boost its production capacity, as well as improve the quality of service it provides to customers.

The new office opening follows a surge of new business, which led MasterMover to hire 13 new employees to help manage the increasing number of customer accounts. The electric tug specialist experienced a 16 per cent growth in 2016, with significant international expansion in sectors including automotive, pharmaceutical and healthcare.

MasterMover’s range of pedestrian-operated electric tugs allow staff to move loads safely and efficiently, reducing non-value added time in plants and facilities. The company supplies some of the world’s largest organisations with its effective alternatives to industrial forklifts and traditional load-handling equipment.

“Off the back of a successful year, our core focus is to continue delivering a high quality of service and product in the UK, as well as across MasterMover’s international partner base,” said Andy Owen, managing director of MasterMover. “Just as we manufacture all products in the UK, we also look to invest in the people in our local area. The new office gives us the opportunity to develop local workers into effective members of the manufacturing, marketing and sales teams.

“The new office has a training room and gives us enough space to store spare parts. This area will allow us to work closer with our dealers and partners while also being able to offer them greater support on-site. It also ensures that each member of the MasterMover team is able to provide consistently high standards of service.”

Selling to over 35 countries, and with new partnership agreements with organisations in Chile, India and the USA, the new hires fit with the company’s expansion plans. MasterMover aims to build on its international presence while also broadening the sectors it currently reaches in the UK.

“The Office of National Statistics recently revealed that UK productivity had dipped back down to its lowest levels in a decade,” continued Owen. “This underlines the importance of strengthening production efficiency. The new offices make MasterMover better positioned to help UK businesses achieve the efficiency gains required to drive up productivity.”
